The euro sank against major counterparts on Friday as German producer prices index for February declined.

The index of producer prices for industrial products slipped 2.1%, while prices slid 2.2% in January, according to Destatis.

Against the US dollar and the British pound, the common currency ended at 1.0655 and 0.7225, respectively.

The shared currency also ended at 128.75 per Japanese yen and 1.0548 per Swiss franc.
