Top Energy Stocks
Energy shares were mainly lower in pre-market trade on Friday as crude oil futures crept lower.
Light, sweet crude oil for February delivery was down 1.7% at $29.51 per barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil was 3.3% lower at $0.95 per gallon while natural gas was down 1.2% at $1.68 British thermal units.
In other energy news, coverage of offshore drilling contractor Seadrill ( SDRL ) has been initiated by JP Morgan with an underweight rating. Price target information was not available.
Shares in the company were 9.5% lower at $2.28 pre-bell. The company has traded between $2.36 and $15.44 over the past 52 weeks.
