Top Health Care Stocks
Health care stocks were paring some of their prior losses, with the NYSE Health Care Index sliding about 1.7% lower while shares of health care companies in the S&P 500 were down 1.6% as a group.
In company news, Impax Labatories ( IPXL ) overcame downward momentum for most stocks and ended higher after U.S. regulators approved the company’s supplemental new drug application contract for its Emverm 100-milligram chewable tablets for Pinworm.
The company is expecting to begin commercial distribution of Emverm early in Q2, it said.
IPXL shares were up almost 2% at $39.00 apiece in late trade, easing from a session high of $39.17 a share.
