Yahoo’s quarterly revenue rises 5.2 percent

Yahoo Inc. said its total quarterly revenue jumped 5.2 percent.

Yahoo’s revenue rose to $1.31 billion in the second quarter ended June 30 from $1.24 billion last year.

After deducting fees paid to partner websites, revenue fell to $841.2 million from $1.04 billion.

The company is in the process of auctioning its troubled core Internet business. Verizon Communications and AT&T Inc. are said to be in the running.
