Companies are less than positive about the financial services industry in the United Kingdom, implied by a survey released Monday
Based on findings by CBI and PwC, the poll implied confidence touched its lowest in the previous quarter, its third consecutive drop and the longest since the 2009 financial crisis.
Over half of the respondents asked stated the negative effect of Brexit, with only one in ten firms stating any advantage. They mentioned its perils to the British economic growth in the future.
This industry, the largest tax generator in the country, has benefited from a passport allowing them to manage operations throughout Europe from a UK-based headquarters.
